I have a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University in New England. My approach weaves together the principles of Humanistic Psychology and mindful meditation, along with many practical tools and techniques that can immediately be integrated into a persons life. With an emphasis on the role of mind, body, spirit, education and health, this multidimensional approach offers a wellspring of learning, hope and possibility for many people.

I am forever grateful to have had the opportunity to study with many of the world renowned teachers and healers of our time. In the 1980's, I took my first meditation class at a center in Newton, Massachusetts with Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction program, also known as MBSR. Little did I know that it would change my life. Others who have influenced my life and work include Abraham Maslow, Erik Erikson, Virginia Satir, Joan Borysenko, Carolyn Myss, Jack Kornfield, Eckhart Tolle, and the list goes on...
I have also studied with Dr. Jayne Major, founder of Breakthrough Parenting, Dr. Shefali Tsabary, author of The Conscious Parent, and received my certification as a Parent Educator in 2012.
Most recently, I decided to do some training in the childbirth profession. I received my certification as a Childbirth Educator in 2018 at Bini Birth in Los Angeles, with the wonderful Ana Paula Markel. It was my intention to do this training to expand my knowledge about current trends in the birth world. I appreciated learning about various options versus a particular "method" for childbirth and childbirth education. It has provided me with the latest evidence based research and new tools to integrate into my work with women and parents.
For the last 25 years, I have worked with people from all walks of life, going through every conceivable life or relationship challenge, always with genuine care and commitment. I come from a place of utmost respect for each individual. I have a compassionate heart, a unique ability to understand people, and the gift of facilitating life changing processes for many.
I think in terms of health, growth and potential, rather than sickness, pathology and symptomatic relief. I see myself as a facilitator, teacher and guide who creates a safe, nonjudgmental and supportive environment where people can express whatever they need to express. I am a catalyst in the growth process, helping people to know themselves better and to make the necessary changes toward living a more balanced and conscious life.
